PLANNING COMMISSION PROCEDURES
The Planning Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 P.M. in the Barber School, 102 W. Exchange Street, Spring Lake, Michigan. In order to comply with notice requirements set forth in the Village Zoning Ordinance, all materials and fees must be received well in advance of the proposed hearing date for the Planning Commission. Applications which are not complete or not filed in a timely manner will be delayed until proper notice can be served.
The deadline for the acceptance of materials for consideration before the Planning Commission is three weeks before the requested hearing date. This will allow sufficient time for staff and Planning Commission members to review the applications. It will also allow for publication of the required public notice and notification of all adjoining property owners as specified in the Zoning Ordinance.
