Overview

The Communications Department creates, coordinates and distributes timely, effective and pertinent information to the public on behalf of the Village of Spring Lake and its departments via multiple forms of media. We do this in several ways.

  • MEDIA RELATIONS: Our department manages all press releases and facilitates requests from various media outlets
  • SOCIAL MEDIA: We utilize various social media platforms to promote Village events, initiatives, information, history, and other pertinent information to our residents, businesses, stakeholders, and visitors. The Village utilizes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • COMMUNITY RELATIONS: We work to focus on our community and its members to keep them informed about Village happenings within our Downtown and their neighborhoods

Communications Audit & Brand Guidelines

The Village hired Wise Bear Creative to conduct an audit of our communications and provide recommendations of improvement. In 2019, the Village implemented suggestions from Wise Bear Creative and new brand guidelines from Concept A Creative in order to better reach our intended audience members. If you need to contact us for any media inquiries or requests, please reach out to us at communications@springlakevillage.org and you will be directed to the proper staff member. Please reach out at least a week before your deadline to ensure you receive the proper information from the correct Department in a timely manner.
